Shepherd Neame Catering Manager Shortlisted for Top Award

Posted: 18th October 2015

Shepherd Neame’s catering manager and wedding functions co-ordinator Samantha Jeal has been named as a finalist in this year’s Beautiful South Tourism Awards.

Samantha, who has worked at the Faversham-based brewery since 2007, has been shortlisted for the Unsung Hero Award for Customer Service.

Shepherd Neame’s Visitor Centre manager Graham Hukins, who nominated Samantha for the award, said:

Putting the application together was an absolute pleasure, as we receive such a wealth of cards and letters from customers thanking Samantha for her work, it was just a question of deciding what to leave out! We are thrilled that she has been named as a finalist in the category, and hope that she will receive a richly deserved award.

I am delighted to have been shortlisted as a finalist. I really enjoy my job, and it is great to get such positive feedback from customers. This award is really for the whole Visitor Centre team, as I couldn’t do what I do without their support.

The winners are to be announced at an Awards Night on December 2 in Brighton.
