Delicious on their own, cherries also work well in both sweet and savoury dishes, with their deep red colour and unmistakable flavour.

The UK season is short but deliciously sweet, lasting just a few weeks in June – July, so now is the time to make the most of them!

As well as being very tasty and moreish, cherries are low in fat, and a good source of fibre and vitamin C.

THE DISHES

Enjoy dishes such as duck breast with creamy chive mash, green beans, sweet potato purée and a port and cherry jus, or thyme & lemon buttered pork loin steak
with crushed new potatoes, tenderstem broccoli, caramelised fennel, crispy fried leeks and a port & cherry sauce.

DESSERTS

Choose from warm sour cherry crumble cake, a cherry cobbler, or a cherry clafoutis with Cornish clotted cream and a thyme and almond crumb.
