MULTIPLE HONOURS FOR SHEPHERD NEAME AT NATIONAL INDUSTRY AWARDS

Shepherd Neame has been honoured with six prizes at the annual British Bottlers’ Institute (BBI) Awards.

Britain’s oldest brewer received two Gold Awards, for 1698 in the Ales category (6.0% - 7.4% ABV), and Whitstable Bay Blonde in the Lagers category.

The Spitfire brand’s dynamic new logo and design, launched last month, was also recognised with a Silver medal in the Packaging category.

Diplomas were awarded to Bear Island East Coast Pale Ale (Ales category, 4.5% - 4.9% ABV), Classic Collection Double Stout (Stouts, Porters or Dark Ales category, 5.5% - 7.4% ABV) and Five Grain Lager (Lagers category).
                                                                                                                        
Head of production Mike Unsworth said: 

“This is a fantastic achievement, and a great testament to our team’s hard work and dedication. We are passionate about brewing, so it is great to have our efforts recognised by industry experts.”

The awards were announced on Friday (July 26), and the medals and certificates will be presented at a ceremony in London on October 31.
