Terms and Conditions

This Promotion is only open to legal residents of United Kingdom aged 18 or over, excluding employees of Shepherd Neame Limited, their families, agents or anyone else professionally connected with this Promotion.
Promotion Period: Enter between 10:00 BST on 19th May 2017 and 23:59 BST on 16th June 2017.
No purchase is necessary. Internet access is required.
To Enter: Go to https://www.shepherdneame.co.uk/get-outside-whitstable-bay and complete the relevant sign-up form with your full name, date of birth and email address to be entered into the prize draw.
Maximum one entry per person throughout the Promotion Period.
All entries must be received by the end of the Promotion Period to be valid and no liability is accepted for illegible, incomplete or late entries.
The Prize: One winner will win 1 x Dover Sea Sports voucher to the value of £420 redeemable against two places on ONE of the following of their ‘Adult Dinghy Sailing’ courses:
1. RYA Level 1 Start Sailing (for those completely new to sailing)
  OR
2. RYA Level 2 Basic Skills (for those who already hold Level 1, or with some experience).
Further Prize Details and Conditions:
1. The Prize is valid until 18th May 2018.
2. The Prize is awarded to the winner, and the winner may choose who they take with them. The winner’s guest must be over 18.
3. No sailing experience is required, but participants must be able bodied. The course booked is the choice of the winner, with advice available from Dover Sea Sports on booking.
4. The course is to be booked direct with Dover Sea Sports on a date to suit the winner, and is subject to availability. If the winner cannot attend any of the dates offered, the prize is forfeited
5. For the avoidance of doubt, the prize does not include travel/transportation, additional food or beverages, souvenirs, gratuities, car parking charges, excursions and attractions or any other costs of a personal nature (including spending money) that are not explicitly set out in these terms and conditions and neither the Promoter nor any provider of any part of the Prize will be responsible for any such costs.
6. The winner is responsible for the behaviour of themselves and their guest whilst taking the Prize. The Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to exclude the winner and/or guest from participation in the Prize if any party fails to comply with the directions of the Promoter or any companies associated with the Prize or the winner and/or guest act in a manner that is dangerous to themselves or to the public or is, in the opinion of the Promoter, anti-social in any manner or which causes a disturbance or nuisance to others.
7. The winner must wear suitable clothing. Failure to do so may result in their being unable to participate, in which case the prize is forfeited.
8. The winner and their guest will each need to bring: A pair of shoes you can get wet, towel, warm clothes to wear after, packed Lunch.
9. The following will be provided to the both the winner and their guest by Dover Sea Sports: Wetsuit, Bouyancy Aid, and a Spray top to keep you warmer during the colder months.
The Prize is as stated and cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged. There is no cash alternative in whole or in part.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize for an alternative of equal or greater value.
Winner Selection: All valid entries received by the Promoter during the Promotion Period will be entered into a Prize Draw to be conducted within 28 days of the closing date by an independent entity.
Winner Notification: The winner will be notified via the email address submitted on entry and will be provided with details on how to claim their prize. The winner must respond as instructed to claim their prize within 28 days of being notified. If the Prize is not claimed by within 28 days of initial notification, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify that winner and award the Prize to a reserve winner chosen in the same manner at the same time as the original.
The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. The Promoter may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose and a prize may be withheld unless and until the Promoter is satisfied with the verification.
Moderation: The Promoter will reject entries which, in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter:
1. contains any content that is offensive or could reflect negatively on the name, reputation, or goodwill of the Promoter or any brand partner;
2. includes trademarks, logos, or copyright material not owned by you or used without the rights owner's prior written permission (including famous names, company names, etc.);
3. defames, misrepresents, or insults other people or companies, including, but not limited to the Promoter (including its partners); or
4. promotes any political agenda.
All entries must be made by the entrant themselves. Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted. Incomplete or illegible entries, entries by macros or other automated means (including systems which can be programmed to enter), and entries which do not satisfy the requirements of these terms and conditions in full will be disqualified and will not be counted. If it becomes apparent that an entrant is using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’, masking their identity by manipulating IP addresses, using identities other than their own or any other automated means in order to increase that entrant’s entries into the draw in a way that is not consistent with the spirit of the Promotion, that entrant’s entries will be disqualified and any Prize awarded will be void.
The Promoter cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss or injury suffered by any entrant entering the Promotion or as a result of accepting or participating in any prize. Nothing shall exclude the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
No responsibility is accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed or as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
The winner may be requested to participate in reasonable publicity arising from the Promotion.
If for any reason the Promotion is not capable of running as planned for reasons including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any written directions given under applicable law) to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion.
If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation.

By entering this Promotion, all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions and by any other requirements set out in the associated promotional material.
