We're offering one winner the chance to take part in a tandem skydive with the RAF Sports Parachute Association, taking place at RAF Weston on the Green on Friday 8th June 2018 as part of this year's RAF 100 celebrations. For your chance to win, head to our Facebook page and comment on the promotional post, telling us why you would like to take part! Winner will be selected at random from all entries received. 18+, UK only. You must be able to attend on the 8th June. Enter before midnight on 4th June 2018.
Full terms and conditions:
1. This Promotion is only open to legal residents of the United Kingdom who are aged 18 and over, excluding employees of the Promoter, their immediate families (defined as parents, children, siblings, spouse and life partners), or anyone professionally associated with this Promotion.
2. No purchase is necessary; however, internet access and a valid Facebook account is necessary.
3. Promotion Period: Enter between 10.00 BST on the 2nd June 2018 and 23.59 BST on the 4th June 2018.
4. To be entered into the prize draw: Log onto your Facebook account (or create one for free), then locate the promotional post on the Spitfire Facebook page (@spitfireale), then comment under the post telling us why you would like to take part in a tandem ski dive.
Entrants must ensure that their Facebook account is set to “Public” for the duration of the Promotion Period and remains so for two weeks after. This is so they can be contacted if they are selected as a winner.
5. Maximum of one entry per person, during the Promotional Period.
6. The Prize: One winner will win a tandem parachute jump with the RAF Sports Parachute Association at 08.00 BST on the 8th of June 2018 at RAF Weston-on-Green, Bicester, OX25 3TQ.
7. Further Prize Details and Conditions:
a. The winner must be aged 18 or over at the time of the event.
b. The winner must be available to attend the event on the 8th of June 2018, arriving at 8am.
c. The Prize is only valid for the specified event on the specified date. No compensation will be offered due to inability to attend or delay on the part of the winner.
d. Winner must weigh less than 95kgs to participate in the tandem parachute jump.
e. Winner must be in good health and by entering confirm that they are fit to take part. Any medical conditions are required to be detailed in advance. If the winner suffers from a medical condition which the Promoter reasonably believe may present a danger to their health if the winner participates, the Promoter may prevent the winner from taking part.
f. The winner must abide by the Terms and Conditions of the event, which form part of the Prize. Failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions may result in refused entry, or the winner being required to leave the event.
g. The winner is responsible for their behaviour whilst taking the Prize. The Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to exclude the winner from participation in any aspect of the Prize if the winner fails to comply with the directions of the Promoter or any companies associated with the Prize or the winner acts in a manner that is dangerous to themselves or to the public or is, in the opinion of the Promoter, anti-social in any manner or which causes a disturbance or nuisance to others.
h. The Winner will be required to sign further legal and health waivers before they will be permitted to take part in the tandem parachute jump.
i. For the avoidance of doubt, the Prizes does not include travel, transportation, accommodation, additional beverages or food outside of that included the Prize, car parking charges, or any other costs of a personal nature that are not explicitly set out in these terms and conditions and neither the Promoter nor any provider of any part of the Prize will be responsible for any such costs.
8. Winner Selection: One winner will be randomly selected from all valid entries received during the Promotional Period. The prize draw will be conducted by PromoVeritas, the independent promotional verification service within 24 hours of the close of the Promotional Period.
9. Winner Notification: The winner will be contacted a direct message to their Facebook account within 24 hours of Winner Selection and will be required to respond to confirm eligibility plus acceptance of the prize within 24 hours of initial contact. If the winner does not respond to the initial contact within 24 hours, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify the winner. If a winner is disqualified, the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to a reserve winner selected in the same manner. Reserve winners may have less time to respond.
10. Moderation: The Promoter will reject entries which, in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter:
a. contain any content that is likely to be considered offensive by the Promoter or could reflect negatively the name, reputation, or goodwill of the Promoter or any brand partner;
b. defames, misrepresents, or insult other people or companies, including, but not limited to the Promoter (including its partners);
c. promotes any political agenda.
11. The Prize will be contacted before the date of the event by the Promoter to organise their Prize.
12. The winner agrees to allow the Promoter to use their name, and county of residence to announce the winner of the Promotion. The Promoter reserves the right to publish the name and county of residence of the winner.
13. By entering this Promotion, all entrants hereby grant the Promoter (or the Promoter’s designee) the exclusive right to film, tape, sound record and photograph all their activities in connection with the Promotion and (if applicable) any prizes. Everything filmed, taped or recorded by the Promoter (or the Promoter’s designee) shall be known as “Footage”.
14. All entrants hereby irrevocably and unconditionally assign to the Promoter with full title guarantee (and by way of present assignment of present and future rights) all intellectual property rights in any “Footage” throughout the world for the full unexpired period of such rights and all renewals, reversions and extensions of such period as may be provided under any applicable law throughout the world.
15. The Prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for monetary value or for any other form of compensation. If for any reason the Prize is not available, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute another prize for it, in its sole discretion, of equal or higher value.
16. If for any reason any aspect of this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion, or invalidate any affected entries.
17. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Promotion or accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.
18. All entries must be made directly by the person entering the Promotion. Bulk entries from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted. Incomplete or illegible entries and entries which do not satisfy the requirements of these Terms and Conditions in full will be disqualified and will not be counted.
19. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these Terms and Conditions the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation.
20. Winners’ names and counties can be requested by sending a stamped self-addressed envelope to: Promotions, Digital Marketing, Shepherd Neame Ltd, 17 Court Street, Faversham, ME137AX within three months of the closing date.
21. Personal data will be held in accordance with all relevant data protection legislation currently in force. 22. If any provisions of these Terms and Conditions are judged to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, this shall not affect or impact the continuation in full force and effect the remainder of the provisions.
23. By entering this Promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
24. These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
