NEW TERRACE UNVEILED AT PICTURESQUE VILLAGE PUB
A spacious new garden terrace has been unveiled at picturesque village pub the George & Dragon in Ightham.
The pub has made the most of its large rear garden by doubling the size of its outdoor seating area. It has also invested in stylish new lighting and garden furniture for the terrace, along with outdoor heaters and colourful garden planters.
It is part of a major refurbishment at the historic pub, dating back to the 1500s, which included decorating throughout and refreshing some of its fixtures and fittings.
The new terrace was officially opened at the pub’s annual Summer Fun Day on Sunday, July 15. The event featured live music and a boules tournament, along with a delicious barbecue and paella.
Licensee Debbie Wilding said: “Customers flock to our pub every summer hoping to dine or enjoy a drink outside, and now we are able to meet that demand with this stylish space. We are really proud of the pub’s new look and have been delighted with the amount of positive feedback we have already received from customers.”
The George and Dragon is open from 10am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 10.30pm on Sunday. For more information visit www.georgeanddragon-ightham.co.uk or call 01732 882440.
