Pub of the Week: The Dover Castle, Teynham

Posted: 29th January 2018

The Dover Castle Inn is an historic 17th century coaching inn situated in the village of Teynham, between Faversham and Sittingbourne, which prides itself on offering fresh food and fine ales.

This very spacious pub has a warm and welcoming bar area, and ample seating for diners.

Outside, the large beer garden and patio area are an unexpected hidden gem, overlooking an orchard where customers can often observe horses and other wildlife.

The extensive menu offers a wide range of dishes, from sandwiches and sharing platters to burgers and a good choice of traditional main courses.  Enjoy classics such as steak and ale suet pudding, cod and chips, a rack of ribs, or mussels and chips.  There are salad and pasta bowls, a dedicated vegetarian section, and children’s menu.  For afterwards, there’s a selection of tempting desserts, and speciality coffees.

The pub is ideal for parties and functions, with menus to suit all occasions, and capacity to cater for events of all sizes.  From business meetings with coffee and croissants, small parties with your own bar, to larger birthday celebrations and weddings, the experienced team will be happy to help you create the perfect event.
