Pub of the Week: The Crown, Blackheath

Posted: 10th November 2017

The Crown is a lively, traditional pub at the heart of Blackheath village, dating back to the 16th century.

Inside, the pub is bright and spacious, with a smart contemporary feel.  On warmer days, the outside area at the front of the pub provides the perfect spot for soaking up Blackheath’s cosmopolitan atmosphere.

Downstairs, you can expect well-kept beers and crowd-pleasing pub food, all freshly prepared from seasonal produce.  Choose a speciality sandwich, juicy British beef burger, pub classic, or take your time to linger over a full three course meal.

Upstairs there’s Todd’s Wine Bar, serving a great selection of wines from around the world, premium spirits and a new cocktail menu. This stylish venue is ideal for after-work drinks or weekend relaxation.  For special occasions, why not have the whole bar to yourself? Just ask the team for information on private hire.

The pub is close to Greenwich Park, through which visitors can walk to the Royal Observatory and National Maritime Museum, making it the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring the capital.

The pub hosts occasional live music, and a pub quiz every Sunday night from 8.30 – just turn up and join in!

How about a pre-Christmas get together? The Crown’s festive menu is perfect for family meals or work parties. Bookings are now being taken.
