TAKE PART IN AN INTERACTIVE ART TRAIL AROUND KENT’S COAST TO CLAIM EXCLUSIVE REWARDS WITH WHITSTABLE BAY

Posted: 25th August 2022

Whitstable Bay – from independent Kent brewer Shepherd Neame – is inviting drinkers to take part in an interactive art trail around the Kent coast and claim exclusive rewards as part of its Inspired by Creativity campaign.

Named after the popular coastal town, Whitstable Bay has teamed up with anonymous local street artist, known as ‘Catman’, to bring to life the spirit of Whitstable for the campaign. Catman, who has gained international acclaim with his bold, thought-provoking works, has created five characters that depict the unique culture of the town.

His original artworks are on display in five Shepherd Neame coastal pubs and hotels, situated in some of Kent’s most beautiful locations: The Marine Hotel, Tankerton; Botany Bay Hotel, Broadstairs; The Minnis Bay Bar and Brasserie, Birchington; The Royal Hotel, Deal; and The Royal Albion Hotel, Broadstairs.

A new interactive trail invites customers to track down the five designs, scanning the QR codes on the accompanying plaques. Once three codes have been collected, a free limited edition Catman artwork pint glass and pint can be claimed. Five exclusive Whitstable Bay x Catman glasses are available now, each featuring one of the designs and a collector’s mark of authenticity.

Brand Marketing Manager Louise Buet said: “We are excited about launching the next chapter of Inspired by Creativity which we hope will encourage more people to discover Whitstable’s distinctive community and culture, while enjoying our award-winning Whitstable Bay beers.”

To find out more about the art trail and download a map, visit: www.whitstable-bay.co.uk, or follow Whitstable Bay @whitstablebay.

The exclusive glasses are also available to purchase, along with limited edition branded paddleboards, clothing and stationery items created for the campaign, from Shepherd Neame’s brewery shop in Faversham and online shop (shop.shepherdneame.co.uk).

And there is still time to enjoy the new Whitstable Bay High Tide Afternoon Tea. Enjoy a delicious selection of homemade sandwiches, freshly baked scones with jam and fresh cream, and tempting cakes and fancies, presented in a handcrafted Whitstable Bay boat. There’s no need for tea as it will be served with a trio of award-winning beers from the Whitstable Bay collection, or a fruity Whitstable Bay Passionfruit Beertini. The experience is available for a limited time, priced £49.99 per person, at The Bell Hotel, Sandwich; The Spitfire, Kings Hill; Ship and Trades, Chatham Maritime; The Marine Hotel, Tankerton; The Botany Bay Hotel, Kingsgate; Minnis Bay Bar and Brasserie, Minnis Bay; and The Royal Hotel, Deal. Advance booking is essential, visit www.whitstable-bay.co.uk for details.
