SHEPHERD NEAME PUTS ITS BEST FOOT FORWARD WITH NEW COLLECTION OF PUB WALKS

Posted: 8th July 2021

Just in time for the Great British summer, independent family brewer Shepherd Neame is launching six new Pub Walks across Kent and the South East.

The Faversham-based brewer and pub operator announced two walks in June, selected from over 50 entries to its Pub Walks competition. Four additional routes have been professionally mapped out, all between four and six miles in length, starting and ending at a Shepherd Neame pub.

Although there are six walks, these take in seven characterful pubs across Kent and the South East, as one route can be started from two different pubs. The new Pub Walks include:  Red Lion Chelwood Gate; The Mermaid Inn, Bishopsbourne and Plough and Harrow, Bridge; The Horse and Groom, Wilmington; The George Inn, Leeds; The Swan and Dog, Great Chart and The Kings Head, Wye.

The latest set of Pub Walks join the original five guides, launched last year in partnership with local expert Lisa Filmer, founder of Coast and Country Rambles.

Shepherd Neame’s Head of Marketing, Brands and Communication Joanna Richardson said: “Our original Pub Walks series proved very popular, and we are delighted to expand our collection to encapsulate a wider range of our pubs. Walking has become integral to the lives of many throughout the last year, and our summer collection of Pub Walks gives people the opportunity to explore some of the most breathtaking Kentish countryside. We hope that individuals, families and friends of all ages will enjoy our Pub Walks, and join us for a Shepherd Neame pub experience at the end of their walk.”

The Shepherd Neame Pub Walk guides are available to pick up for free at each pub and download from the Walks page on the Shepherd Neame website. To find out more, visit www.shepherdneame.co.uk/walks, and follow Shepherd Neame on social media. To share your walk experiences online use #ShepsWalks.
