Posted: 7th March 2018

If you’re looking for a traditional pub experience in the heart of the Kentish countryside, head to the Bush, Blackbird & Thrush.

Situated in the picturesque hamlet of Peckham Bush, on the outskirts of East Peckham near Tonbridge, it is an historic building dating back to the 1800s, with original features including low oak-beamed ceilings.

When the weather is cold, customers can relax by the roaring log fire in the bar area, where dogs are always welcome. The pub is also popular during the summer months due to its large garden, with a selection of children’s play equipment.

The friendly team serve a wide selection of beers, wines and spirits. Master Brew Kentish Ale is always available, along with a lighter ale, currently Whitstable Bay Pale Ale. Spitfire Lager, Whitstable Bay Blonde Lager, Hurlimann, Asahi, Guinness and Thatchers Gold are also currently being poured.

The Bush is a popular destination for food, as it offers a delicious menu of classic pub favourites and bar snacks, including a renowned Sunday roast. A special children’s menu is also available.

Trivia enthusiasts can test their knowledge at the Bush, Blackbird and Thrush Pub Quiz, which takes place every Tuesday from 9pm. Teams should be a maximum of six people, with entry priced £1.

There is also a Classic Car Rally from 12 noon on the first Sunday of every month from April to October, which brings visitors from all over the county.
