Pub of the Week: The White Swan, Aldgate

Posted: 23rd February 2018

If you’re looking for a friendly welcome and traditional pub experience in the heart of the City of London, head to The White Swan in Aldgate.

The characterful pub, close to Tower Bridge and the Tower of London, is the perfect spot to enjoy some delicious food, savour a post-work pint or catch the big midweek sports matches.

A tasty menu of classic pub favourites is served from 12 noon to 3pm, Monday to Friday, including fish and chips, burgers, hearty soups and thick doorstep sandwiches. A delicious grazing menu of light bites is also available from 6pm to 8.30pm.

Real ale enthusiasts can choose between Master Brew, Spitfire Kentish Ale and Whitstable Bay Pale Ale. For lager lovers, Shepherd Neame’s new Cinque Five Grain Lager is on tap, along with Birra Moretti, Amstel and San Miguel.

Due to its City location, the pub is closed to the public on Saturday and Sunday. Close to Aldgate East, Tower Hill and Fenchurch Street stations, it is a popular private-hire venue. The whole pub can be booked at weekends, or there is also a large first-floor function room, which accommodates up to 25 guests.
