Pub of the Week: The Bailiff’s Sergeant, St Mary’s Bay

Posted: 18th April 2017

The Bailiff’s Sergeant is a friendly, community-spirited pub in the beautiful seaside village of St Mary's Bay.

St Mary's Bay is a seaside village with a long sandy beach, and a stop on the unique Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch miniature steam railway.

The pub hosts live music once a month, as well as karaoke nights and charity events. You can also play darts and pool, or borrow a pack of cards or board game. Between 5pm and 8pm on Tuesdays, the local fish and chip van visits.

On the bar you’ll find a good choice of cask ales and lagers, plus a selection of world wines, soft drinks, plus tea and coffee. For summer days, there is a large garden to relax in.

The whole pub and garden is available to hire as a venue for private functions, with catering available.

As the days get warmer, make a day of it and enjoy a journey on the miniature steam railway, a walk on the sandy beach, and a refreshing pint in the Bailiff’s.
