Pub of the Week: The Black Horse, Tunbridge Wells

Posted: 24th March 2017

The Black Horse is a friendly pub close to the centre of Tunbridge Wells, and is truly a pub at the heart of the local community.

Inside you’ll find a spacious bar area with plenty of seating, and outside there’s a large garden for warmer days.  It’s a welcoming pub, perfect for chatting with friends and relaxing over a drink.

On the bar you’ll find a quality pint of ale or lager, plus a good range of wines, soft drinks, and all your other favourites.  There’s a pool table if you like to play, and a range of pub games available to borrow from the bar.

The pub also has an impressive video jukebox, and four large screen TVs showing BT Sport and horse racing fixtures.

If you’re heading out to eat, there are a variety of restaurants locally offering plenty of choice, with the Black Horse ideally positioned for pre-dinner drinks or a night cap afterwards.

There’s plenty going on at the pub, with regular live music, comedy nights, and community group meetings, plus karaoke on first Friday of month, an open mic night the first Thursday of month, and acoustic jam session on the second Thursday.

If you’re looking for a party venue, the pub can cater for up to 90 people, with your choice of buffet food and music on the video jukebox, or if you prefer they’ll find you a DJ. They will even decorate for you and tidy up afterwards, all with no hire charge.

For more information, visit the pub’s website, find them on Facebook or Twitter, or pop in for a pint.
