Pub's Fun Day Raises £4,000 For Charity

Posted: 13th October 2016

The Britannia Inn in Hythe donated a total of £4,000 to two charities at a presentation evening on Monday, October 3. Licensees Nigel and Sarah Cooper, who have run the pub since 2014, raised the money at the annual Britannia Fun Day on August 13.

It has been running for more than 20 years, and more than 250 people attended this year’s event, which offered a variety of activities for all the family, including duck racing in the river opposite the pub and live music.

Nigel and Sarah, along with members of the Britannia Fun Day Committee, presented representatives from the Pilgrims Hospices and Carers Support with cheques for £2,000.

The fun day went really well, and we were delighted at the amount raised for charity. We would like to thank everyone who came along to support us and help make the event such a success.
