Pub of the Week: The Adelaide, Teddington

The Adelaide is a bustling, traditional pub in Teddington, popular with sports fans looking for somewhere to watch the match, and those looking for a tasty pub lunch, or post-work pint.

Inside, there is a spacious bar area, with ample seating.  Outside, there is an attractive, leafy garden and patio, with covered area, as well as seating outside the front of the pub. The pub recently won the Best Floral Display award at the Shepherd Neame Pub Awards 2016.

The pub serves a wide selection of traditional pub food, with something to suit everyone, whether you’re looking for a quick lunch, snack, or three course meal. Enjoy classics such as Steak and Kidney Pudding with creamy mash and seasonal vegetables, Fish and Chips, or a jacket potato.

There is also a range of prime burgers, including the popular 6oz burger topped with mushrooms, cheese, bacon and a fried egg! There are also sandwiches, a children’s menu, and vegetarian options.

On the bar you will find a range of Shepherd Neame cask ales, a choice of lagers, ciders, and wines from around the world.

Situated just a few train stops from Twickenham rugby ground and a 15-minute drive from Kempton Park and Sandown Park racecourses, The Adelaide love their sports.  

They show all of the major tournaments and competitions including; the World Cup, Olympics, Masters, Wimbledon, the Rugby World Cup, the Boat Race and the Grand National, and offer a pre-Twickenham lunch of champions.

There is also a first floor function room available for hire for any type of event, with space for 32 people for sit-down meals and up to 60 seated for meetings.

The Adelaide hosts Alecats Jazz night the second Monday evening of every month, a folk club on the 1st Friday evening & 3rd Sunday afternoon of every month, and a quiz night every other Thursday.
