Sheps Giving

We are committed to supporting the community we serve, and established Sheps Giving to provide a focus for our efforts. Our chosen Charity of the Year is Kent Wildlife Trust (KWT).
Based in Sandling, Maidstone, KWT is the county's leading conservation charity. KWT manage over 80 nature reserves across Kent, ensuring the landscape is protected and enhanced for wildlife. This year, KWT is preparing for several ground-breaking reintroduction projects in Kent with species such as bison, beavers, chough and pine martens. KWT is also paving the way for carbon lock-up and native habitat restoration with these nationally important but locally delivered projects which protect threatened land and seascapes across the county.
Shepherd Neame is proud to support this local charity, helping to protect and improve habitats in the countryside, coast and town for the benefit of the wildlife and people of Kent.

Kent Wildlife Trust

Each year we give away beer and vouchers for our pub and hotel estate to local groups and individuals, to support their fundraising activities.

While we try to support as many events and organisations as possible, priority is given to causes or charities that are based in Kent or local to the communities served by our pubs.

Britain’s oldest brewer Shepherd Neame has teamed up with Pennies, the digital charity box, in a bid to boost funds for its Charity of the Year.

Customers drinking and dining at selected sites are invited to make a 25 pence donation to the Kent Wildlife Trust when they spend over £30 and pay on a card via Chip & Pin. Every penny goes to charity.

Pubs and sports clubs share an affinity as places for communities to come together, and we are proud to support a number of local teams, from grassroots to county level.

One of our key partnerships is with Kent County Cricket Club, which renamed its Canterbury headquarters The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence. The RAF Spitfire Rugby 7s are also sponsored by our Spitfire brand and regularly raise large amounts for the RAF Benevolent Fund, Help for Heroes and other Armed Forces charities.

Our brewery and pubs are at the heart of their communities, raising large sums each year for a diverse range of good causes, along with our nominated Charity of the Year.

We are proud to help our staff in their fundraising efforts, which can range from cake sales to marathons, by providing financial sponsorship and other forms of support.

We have been based in Faversham, Kent, for more than 300 years, and take great pride in our role as principal sponsor of the annual Hop Festival in our home town.

We also support a number of other events throughout our heartland, including music festivals and food and drink events. We have also supported the KM Big Quiz for more than a decade, providing drinks at the fundraising quiz evenings held throughout Kent. .
