WELCOMING PUPS INTO PUBS
At Shepherd Neame we’re dedicated to brewing great beer and running the best pubs. Our friendly teams pride themselves on offering a warm welcome to every visitor – and that includes four-legged guests too.
Your dog is part of the family so it’s natural that there are times you’ll want to bring them to the pub with you, whether you’re having a day by the seaside, or a Sunday morning stroll.
All our pet-friendly pubs and hotels provide water and treats, and plenty have great gardens for you and them to relax in too.

Please note, however, there may be some places your dog won’t be allowed for the consideration of all guests.
THE RULES ALL GOOD BOYS AND GIRLS NEED TO KNOW
At Shepherd Neame we love dogs, and are keen to welcome them in, but there are some rules they’ll have to abide by to keep everyone’s tails wagging.
A few of our pubs simply don’t have the space for pooches, while, for hygiene reasons, we aren’t able to welcome pups into the dining areas. And paws – muddy or not - need to be kept off soft furnishings.
You’ll need to ensure your dog is on a lead and on their best behaviour – and well-behaved owners who clean up after their dogs are also welcome.
TREATS, TOYS AND TIPPLES
We love welcoming your four-legged friends to our dog-friendly pubs.
Our friendly teams are happy to provide fresh water for your dog and, at some pubs and hotels, there may be some free treats on offer too.
If you’re looking for something more inviting for your pet pooch, we also stock Jude’s Ice Cream for Dogs in 15 of our pubs and hotels. Made using dog-safe ingredients, it is plant-based and uses real fruit puree to create a tasty treat which comes in strawberry, apple or banana flavoured 100ml tubs.
Five per cent of sales also go to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.
We have also worked with a Kent baker to create limited edition Shepherd Neame Dog Friendly Treats, made with spent grain from our brewing process, which will be available at selected pubs across our estate soon – look out for them on a bar near you!
A DOG WALK WITH A WATERING HOLE
If you’re looking for inspiration for your next dog walk, Shepherd Neame has 14 Pub Walk guides for you to try – all starting and finishing at one of our pubs.
They are all between four and six miles in length and take in a range of terrains and environments, including some of the South East’s most beautiful scenery.

BEST-DRESSED DOG
Shepherd Neame has launched a brand new range of dog bandanas.
Available in various sizes and colours, the 100% cotton bandanas, featuring an embroidered Shepherd Neame logo, will help your four-legged friend look even more fetching!
You can choose from green, red and blue, and they come in medium or large, with a collar loop or tie-back style, to suit all breeds.
