Meet your guide in the Visitor Centre, set in a beautifully-restored medieval hall house, and set off on an 80 minute guided tour behind the scenes at this busy working brewery.
Learn a little of the ancient art of brewing, see traditional mash tuns, taste natural mineral water from the brewery's well, try some malted barley and smell locally-grown Kentish hops.
The tour also includes “The Old Brewery Store”, featuring impressive displays of historic delivery vehicles, a recreated cooper’s workshop, bygone pub signs and a collection of hop picking memorabilia.
Sampling and tasting
Of course we wouldn't let you leave without sampling and the tour ends with a fascinating tutored tasting – audience participation encouraged! Finally, visit the Brewery Shop and pick up a souvenir, gift or some beer! The whole visit, including tasting, takes 2 – 2½ hours.
