New Flying Horse Inn, Ashford

New Flying Horse Inn

  • Welcome to the New Flying Horse

We look forward to seeing you soon

History, character and distinctive food and drink combine to make the New Flying Horse one of the most delightful pubs in Wye. Once you’ve sampled our delicious local produce, great Sunday roasts and authentic Kentish ales, you simply won’t want to leave – and thanks our beautiful guest rooms, you won’t have to!

Picturesque inside and out, the pub boasts nine charmingly renovated guest rooms and an enviable countryside location - the perfect base for a weekend in Kent.

The pub in Wye is well located for exploring the cathedral city of Canterbury, walking on the Downs or enjoying a restful stopover to and from the continent. But one of the star local attractions is right on the doorstep…

Our own Great Outdoors
There are plenty of pubs in Kent with gardens – but none quite like the New Flying Horse. Part of our large garden is an authentic recreation of a Chelsea Flower Show gold medal winner - Julian Dowle’s successful design “A Soldier’s Dream of Blighty”.

The Chelsea Pensioners’ Garden was created for the 2005 Chelsea Flower Show, with input from the Chelsea Pensioners themselves, and includes a Dig for Victory vegetable garden, a pond, a field of poppies and a miniature traditional English pub.

A visual treat, it is the best place in Wye to eat, drink and relax in the summer sun.
