THE NORTHEN BELLE
Built in 1680 and officially the oldest pub in Margate, the Northern Belle is a quaint, wet only community pub tucked away in Margate Old Town.
The Northern Belle sits directly opposite Margate’s blue flag main sands and the Turner Contemporary Gallery. Following its recent regeneration scheme, Margate's Old Town now plays host to an eclectic range of vintage clothes and furniture shops, galleries, restaurants and cafes with a retro twist.
Live music is at the heart of the Northern Belle, mostly with a ska & reggae influence and DJs or bands are usually on offer every Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. The pub is popular amongst the locals and visitors alike and it is renowned for its warm and friendly welcome.
Internally you will find a feature bar servery together with a u-shaped trade area. The tenants private accommodation has been very well looked after and is in great condition throughout. All of the rooms are airy and spacious and it includes four double bedrooms, a lounge, a very good sized kitchen which can double up as trade kitchen if required and a bathroom.
This charming little pub is now looking for new operators that want to run a wet and community led business. There may also be the potential for it to be available quickly for the right applicants.
