 A beautiful 14th Century former coaching inn that has recently benefited from a complete internal and external redecoration, the Chequers Inn truly exudes history and charm. It still boasts some of its original features to include age-old timbers, mullion windows and an inglenook fireplace and its attractive hanging hops provide the pub with its quintessentially Kentish feel.

Space is plentiful at the Chequers Inn, with a central feature bar servery, the snug and two separate trade drinking & dining areas which cater for approximately 65 covers in total.

Externally, this large, family friendly pub is well equipped with a good sized customer car park, a  terraced patio area with seating surrounding the building together with a  fenced in grassed garden with play equipment to the back of the property.

The private accommodation houses two double bedrooms, two large reception rooms, a bathroom, office and a large private garden area with car parking for the tenants.

 The Chequer Inn has a great following from its local community and it plays host to a diverse customer base to include families from the nearby camp site and hungry local diners. It is also doubles up as the village post office every Tuesday.
