THE CHEQUERS INN
Located on the outskirts of Faversham, Kent, the Chequers Inn is a destination dining pub & restaurant that has played an integral part in Doddingtons' village life for centuries.
A beautiful 14th Century former coaching inn that has recently benefited from a complete internal and external redecoration, the Chequers Inn truly exudes history and charm. It still boasts some of its original features to include age-old timbers, mullion windows and an inglenook fireplace and its attractive hanging hops provide the pub with its quintessentially Kentish feel.
Space is plentiful at the Chequers Inn, with a central feature bar servery, the snug and two separate trade drinking & dining areas which cater for approximately 65 covers in total.
Externally, this large, family friendly pub is well equipped with a good sized customer car park, a terraced patio area with seating surrounding the building together with a fenced in grassed garden with play equipment to the back of the property.
The private accommodation houses two double bedrooms, two large reception rooms, a bathroom, office and a large private garden area with car parking for the tenants.
The Chequer Inn has a great following from its local community and it plays host to a diverse customer base to include families from the nearby camp site and hungry local diners. It is also doubles up as the village post office every Tuesday.
Available in early June 2020, Shepherd Neame is looking for new tenants than will immerse themselves in to community life in Doddington whilst also marketing and further enhancing the Chequers reputation as a great destination dining pub & restaurant in the area.
