THE EARL GREY

Opened in 1745, the Earl Grey is the oldest pub in Northfleet, Kent, and it has been a popular watering hole for more than 250 years.

Currently operating as a wet only business, the Earl Grey is a friendly and traditional locals pub with bags of community spirit and a host of longstanding regular customers.

There is always something going on at the pub  to include live sports courtesy of BT sports, quiz and charity nights, a Sunday meat raffle and race nights. The video juke box is a popular feature with the locals and there are also three darts teams that meet at the pub on a weekly basis.

Inside you will find a cosy trade area with a feature bar servery and built in seating  together with a separate area to play pool and darts. As there is currently only a domestic kitchen on site there is no existing food offer at the Earl Grey, however, there is the potential for a trade kitchen to be installed.

The Earl Grey has recently benefited from a refurbishment scheme to the pubs exterior, giving it far greater kerb appeal to the front of the property. To the back of the building you will find a large fenced in and family-friendly garden together with a large customer car park with a gated entrance in to the garden.

Due to retirement, the Earl Grey will be looking for new tenants to take over in spring time 2020.

For more information or to arrange a viewing of the Earl Grey, please contact the Trade Recruitment Co-Ordinator now on 01795 542132.

Non Domestic Business Rates

RATEABLE VALUE - £14,500

MULTIPLIER 2019/2020 - 0.491

ESTIMATED RATES PAYABLE - £3,955

  • As at the time of publishing, the estimated rates payable, are based upon the assumption that the tenant occupies the maximum of one pub and therefore qualifies for small business rates relief
  • We have also applied the relevant multipliers and estimated transitional relief where applicable
  • Retail relief has been applied to all pubs with a rateable value of £51,000 or less. This entitles the occupier to a third reduction in rates payable after all other reliefs and will run for the 2019/20 and 2020/21 rating years. This is an assumption that should be confirmed with the local authority
  • The above calculations are estimations only and as rateable values are  subject to change, we would request that the prospective new  tenant checks the rates payable and any other relief with the local authorities prior to completing a financial plan
