Destination dining at its best, the Gate Inn is the perfect example of a successful and popular village pub & restaurant. Tucked away in North-East Kent between Canterbury and Thanet, the Gate boasts a serene countryside location in rural Chislet.

Every inch the classic country pub, hops hang from the authentic Kentish decoration and the Gate honours timeless tradition by serving beer straight from the barrel. Separated by a double sided open fire, the two spacious bar areas have quarry tiled floors and church pew seating and the L-shaped Old  Bakery Restaurant dining room can cater for a further 48 covers.

To the side of the property there is a large mature and well kept trade garden with a stream and you can also spot the resident free-range chicken and ducks roaming around freely. There is customer car parking on site for up to five cars and there is plenty of street side parking available locally.

The Gate Inn plays host to a diverse customer base to include the village locals and walkers and cyclists exploring the local area. They are recognised locally for their great Sunday lunches and you can hire the pub for private weddings and events either internally, or outside in the Marquee during the finer weather.

Moving forward, Shepherd Neame is now looking for experienced operators with proven catering experience to further build on this already well established business.
