Maldon town boasts a lovely location on the Blackwater Estuary where the open water, mudflats and saltmarsh provide a superb landscape for walking, boating and fishing.

With the locals at the heart of everything that they do, the White Horse always has something going on. It is a popular venue for weekday OAP lunches, there is a wide range of live music at weekends for a diverse customer base, they are host to their own darts team every second Tuesday and their Sunday lunches are in demand, currently serving approx. 80–100 covers each week.
