The Bear Inn is a fine example of a successful and popular high street ale house. You will  find it located at the heart of Shepherd Neames very own home town in Faversham, Kent.

Just a short hop from the brewery and boasting a great central location in Faversham town, the Bear is one of the towns most historic buildings packed with charm and character.

Internally the Bear houses a front saloon bar,  a main back bar with restaurant dining space and a true old fashioned snug area. The ceilings are lined with centuries-old oak beams which were salvaged from a ship in the near by boat yard and hops hang in and around the pub giving it a great, relaxed and cosy feel.

At the hub of the local community, there is  always something going on at the Bear. Together with being at the centre of the annual ‘Faversham Hop Festival’ events, it currently hosts weekly darts and crib teams, monthly quiz and scrabble nights, regular themed nights and it is home to several groups that meet regularly. Fresh, home-made food is on offer every lunchtime and Sunday Roasts remain ever popular at the pub.

Due to early retirement, we are now looking for experienced operators to take on the successful running of this site. The Bear requires tenants that will provide warm genuine hospitality together with great quality ales and a good consistent food offer.
