Built in the 1830s, the New Inn was the first ever purpose built pub in the seaside town of Whitstable, Kent. Back then it served railway workers, dockers and fishermen who all lived in the surrounding cottages and  today it remains a popular meeting place for the Whitstable locals.

A true hidden gem that is in great order throughout, you will find the pub set neatly back in residential Woodlawn Street, just a few minutes’ walk from the hustle and bustle of the main high street and the busy harbour front.

Listed in the ‘CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2018’, the pub currently focuses on the  quality of their drink and bar service, so at present it is ran as a very busy wet only operation. It is a fun and interactive place to drink with retro board games, a PacMan machine, a pool table and monthly pub quizzes. Music is at also at the heart of the pub, with a diverse range of live music on offer twice weekly which is held at the back of this spacious site.

This business would suit experienced operators that enjoy running a true wet led, locals pub with a vibrant and eclectic customer base.
