Following a complete refurbishment scheme in 2016, the East Kent has been restored to its former glory and now stands proud at the end of Whitstable high street, just a few minutes stroll from the shops and beach front.

Internally the East Kent is spacious and airy with its feature bar servery and multiple open plan drinking and dining areas. Authentic original features have been revived, with floorboards varnished and brickwork exposed, creating a characterful, homely pub that wears its age with pride.

The outdoor space also received a dramatic lift and now includes bench seating to the front of the property and a large, pretty York stone paved patio with a heated pergola-covered seating area to the back of the building.

There is a small but well equipped trade kitchen on site as well as a large storage and preparation area.

Currently there is only a very limited snack menu in operation, so the implementation of a more expansive daily lunch and dinner menu together with the provision of great quality real ales, will be key to ongoing success and business growth at the East Kent.

Live music is at the heart of this site and it remains a popular feature with the locals, so we are looking for new tenants that can embrace and enhance the existing business at the pub, whilst repositioning the East Kent in the Whitstable food and drink scene.
