GAME ON!

For British game season, our chefs have crafted a range of tantalisingly tasty dishes to delight game lovers, and tempt those who might not have ventured away from standard meats before.

Why eat game? Game is wild, natural and free range, with a distinctive flavour. Locally sourced and seasonal, it typically has a much lower carbon footprint, and supports British farmers.

British game is lean and lower in fat and cholesterol than many other red meats and is a good source of protein and vitamins.

SO... WHAT'S COOKING?

Our very special seasonal game dishes include a chargrilled venison steak, gourmet venison burger, wild boar ragu, and crispy golden buttermilk rabbit with chipotle mayo, slaw, pickles & chips.

One of our favourites has to be the pheasant breast, braised in Orchard View cider with shallots & smoked bacon, served with wholegrain mustard mash, buttered green beans and finished with parsnip crisps. Delicious!

Our game specials are available at selected venues from 11th November for three to four weeks subject to availability.  Please call ahead before making a special journey for a specific dish.
