ANNOUNCEMENT OF FULL YEAR RESULTS - JUNE 2020

Shepherd Neame, Britain's Oldest Brewer and owner and operator of 319 high quality pubs in Kent and the South East, today announces results for the 52 weeks ended 27 June 2020.

TRADING UPDATE AND ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Since our last update on 1 July 2020, nearly all of our pubs have re-opened, traded successfully and benefitted from the Eat Out To Help Out Scheme across the summer. Our London pubs have been the last to open and most of these in the last few weeks.

TWO THIRDS OF PUBS TO OPEN BY END OF JULY, LIQUIDITY SECURED FOR THE FORSEEABLE FUTURE

Shepherd Neame is pleased to announce that, following the lifting of restrictions on hospitality businesses by the Government, we expect to re-open at least two thirds of our pubs by the end of July. Further, the Company’s financial position has been strengthened with the agreement of a £25 million borrowing facility utilising the UK Government’s Coronavirus Large Business Interruption Loan Scheme.
