Sun & Planet Steam Ale

Sun & Planet Steam Ale

In the 18th century Shepherd Neame became the first brewery outside London to use steam power, generated by ‘Sun and planet’ engines.

This ale commemorates such innovation, which is also reflected in the ‘steam’ method of brewing, in which fermentation takes place at higher temperatures.

Ingredients used include Lager malt, Wheat, Rye and Maize whilst Challenger and Strisselspalt hops are used for bitterness and aroma.

TASTING NOTES

Sun & Planet Steam Ale is a rich copper ale with malt and citrus hop flavours.
