At around 9.00am*, the train will set off from Brighton and will then call at Lewes, Eastbourne, Hastings and Ashford before heading to Faversham, via the picturesque Stour Valley line and the City of Canterbury. The train will be steam hauled from Brighton to Eastbourne, and Ashford to Faversham, while a heritage diesel locomotive will work the train between Eastbourne and Ashford. At Faversham, there will be time to enjoy the Hop Festival before the train returns via the same route. 
Adult return fares include a free bottle of Shepherd Neame ale for passengers aged over 18.

An afternoon trip for festival-goers will leave Faversham at around 2.30pm* and run along the route first opened 150 years ago in 1858 to Gillingham. The return trip will cross the famous Kingsferry Bridge and head across the Isle of Sheppey to Sheerness-on-Sea. 34067 "Tangmere" will then haul the train back to Faversham (arrive approximately 4.30pm*).

Seats on the “Spitfire” steam trains are limited, so early booking is strongly recommended.
All passengers are allocated a reserved seat aboard the train of historic carriages dating from the 1950s & ’60s.
The train will convey a real ale bar, which will be open during the journey serving a range of Shepherd Neame ales. A buffet car for hot and cold drinks and light snacks will also be included in the train.
