BREWERY TOUR & BROGDALE FARM

Take a morning Brewery Tour, then enjoy a Drayman’s Plate or Fisherman’s Catch lunch in the Visitor Centre bar.  In the afternoon, rejoin your coach for the short road journey to Brogdale Farm, for a tour of the National Fruit Collections. The 150-acre site houses the largest collection of fruit trees in the world including over 2,300 varieties of apple, 550 of pear and 350 of plum. DISCOVER FAVERSHAM   

Enjoy morning coffee at the Visitor Centre and meet your guide from the Faversham Society for a town walk lasting approximately 1½ hours. See Abbey Street – Kent's finest mediaeval road – and the Guildhall with its delightful cupola and Tudor pillars. Other gems include the Art Deco cinema and the chemist's shop - with a 13th Century pestle & mortar sign.  Return to the Visitor Centre for a Brewer’s Platter lunch and enjoy an afternoon brewery tour and tutored tasting.  Adult  £24.50   Senior Citizen  £24.00

 

DELICIOUS BEER – DELIGHTFUL GARDENS                

Combine a morning tour of Shepherd Neame, and Drayman’s Plate lunch, with a relaxing afternoon at Mount Ephraim Gardens. Explore ten acres of landscaped gardens surrounding a splendid Victorian mansion. Soak up the tranquil atmosphere and drink in the views of the Swale and Thames estuary, admire the unusual topiary and wander through the rock garden with its delightful Japanese stone bridge.

ANTIQUES & ALES

Enjoy a morning visit to Shepherd Neame for a Brewery Tour followed by a Drayman’s Plate or Fisherman’s Catch lunch before heading to Belmont, a delightful Georgian manor with landscaped gardens.  The house was home to successive Lords Harris during the 19th and 20th Centuries and contains a superb collection of clocks and many mementoes of the family's travels in the West Indies and India, including fine art, furniture and silverware.

SHEPHERD NEAME BREWERY AND FARMING WORLD

See how beer is made from barley to bottle and hop to hand-pump on a morning tour of the brewery.  Then try some of the products during a fascinating tutored tasting and take a Drayman’s Plate or Fisherman’s Catch lunch in the Visitor Centre bar.  In the afternoon, head for Farming World, just three miles away.  See the rare breeds, lawn mower museum, watch honey bees at work in Bee World and take a tractor and trailer ride around the farm. Don’t miss the impressive afternoon flying display from the farm’s resident birds of prey.
