A Golden amber beer with a full floral spring-like aroma with a citrussy background. A light refreshing smooth bitter flavour with a malty sweetness. Spicy early season Kentish hops pervade the rich light fruits of this seasonal ale.
The beer takes its name from the Early Bird hop - as the name suggests it is one of the first hops to ripen on the bine. The variety was first cultivated in East Kent and is one of Goldings family of aromatic hops.

Spitfire
Premium Kentish Ale

The glowing amber of this premium Kentish ale has wonderfully generous aromas of tangy malt, soft raisins and sweet oranges, freshened by the floral grassy notes of three different Kent-grown hop varieties (flowery Target, tangy First Gold and orange-fragrant East Kent Goldings). In the mouth, the finely balanced flavour opens with a blast of rounded malt before the rousing, almost spicy hops follow through to provide a complex, multi-layered finish.
First brewed in 1990 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, Spitfire has EU Protected Geographical Indication status.

Bishop's Finger
Kentish Strong Ale

The dominant character of this premium ale is its generous, fruity flavour, reminiscent of bananas and pears with citrus overtones. A full-bodied, nut-brown, nourishing ale with a lingering hoppy finish, an ideal companion to food, or it can serve as a delicious digestive after a meal.
Bishop's Finger was first brewed in 1958 and is named after a historical Kentish sign post and is thought to be unique amongst beers - being the product of just one county. The water is drawn from the brewery's own artesian well; the yeast is cultured on site while the hops and barley are grown locally in Kent.
The ale is hand-crafted in accordance with the Bishop's Finger Charter whose stipulations include that that the ale must be brewed only on Fridays by the Head Brewer and that it must be tasted on a weekly basis by a member of the Board of Directors. Has EU Protected Geographical Indication status.

A handsome, pale walnut colour leads to rich, exotic grapefruit and damask rose scents which exhibit the woodland freshness of Late Red hops. The flavour is complex, subtle and mouth-filling. The nourishing fullness of crystal malt slowly takes on a drier, dramatic definition as the intricate and fragrant bitterness of the hop slides forward in the finish and aftertaste.
The beer takes its name from a late ripening hop of the Goldings family which has a distinctive red-brown autumnal tinge to its flowers and leaves.
