Brewed in the UK's last remaining wooden mash tuns.The resultant 5.2% abv beer is glossy and black with a robust hop aroma and roasted chocolate nose. It delivers a velvety smooth palate of dry, burnt flavours complemented by cocoa and coffee notes. Black, creamy and delicious; it is a Shepherd Neame masterpiece.

    A historic brew which conjures up images of high seas and faraway places.  At 6.1% abv, this IPA retains the strength and character that is typical of this iconic, internationally renowned beer. Shepherd Neame’s India Pale Ale is hopped at three stages of the boil, with two varieties of Kentish hops – Fuggles and East Kent Goldings – resulting in a deep golden ale, with spiced fruit notes and a distinctive, heavily hopped bitterness.

  • Spooks Ale - 8 x 500ml

    A classic beer of true quality, Spooks Ale is characterised by its hugh biscuity malt palate, derived from these traditional roasted barley malts used in the mash, giving a glorious deep red hue. The excitingly complex malty flavour are wonderfully balanced by a hugh citrusy, hoppy bitterness and aroma from a particularly fruity hop added at four stages in the brewing process.

    A handsome, pale walnut colour leads to rich, exotic grapefruit and damask rose scents which exhibit the woodlands freshness of Late Red hops. The flavour is complex, subtle and mouth-filling. The nourishing fullness of crystal malt slowly takes on a drier, dramatic definition as the intricate and fragrant bitterness of the hop slides forward in the finish and aftertaste.
