The King's Head is a Victorian country inn, with bed and breakfast and an Italian-style restaurant, situated in the heart of the delightful village of Wye. This is dramatic walking country and is on the route of both the well-known North Downs Way and Pilgrim's Way.
The pub is smart and spruce outside, having recently been thoroughly redecorated, and inside a fresh, light and airy ambience has been created with an open plan bar area, stripped wooden floors, comfy sofas, and Lloyd Loom-style chairs. An inviting open log fire beckons in the autumn and winter, while for the summer months there is a small enclosed and sunny courtyard area with tables and planted baskets.
The Italian-style restaurant serve freshly made pizza, cooked in an authentic Italian stone-based oven from a traditional dough recipe . All dishes and sauces are freshly cooked to order and wherever possible local produce is used. Children are welcome in the restaurant area until 9pm.
The accommodation, six bedrooms, some en-suite and one with a luxurious four-poster bed, is clean, comfortable and very reasonably priced.
