The Nelsons Arms is a pleasant old pub, originally a farmhouse, set in a quiet residential area only five minutes walk from the busy town centre of Tonbridge. This is very much a traditional ‘local’ - comfortable, friendly and much-loved by the regulars, with a warm welcome extended to visitors. A place where customers can feel at ease with a great pint, maybe in front of the open log fire on a chilly evening.
The Nelsons prides itself on its family-friendly style, with children welcome and a stash of board games to keep everyone happy; dogs on leads are also allowed .
Entertainment includes two screens showing all the big Sky Sports events, live music every month showcasing local bands, and crib and cards behind the bar for those in search of a leisurely game. Occasional Ladies’ Nights, including accessory parties and cosmetic demonstrations, are also popular.
The community-minded licensee aims to create a haven for locals and also offers a useful cash-back service.
