The house is everything you would hope for in an old village pub - oak beams, roaring log fires and comfy sofas, with the added bonus of excellent food. Specialities include venison, pheasant and other game dishes.
Lunch and evenings on Thursday and Fridays are renowned for our fresh fish.
Our head chef Andy Manthorpe produces excellent freshly prepared food from our ever changing menu, we display our selections on the chalk board in the bar.
The new tenants Carol and Ralph are maintaining the high standards of Helen (Carol's sister) and Michael who are enjoying their retirement from the pub trade in Greece.
The large beer garden with mature trees backs onto Knole Park and is especially popular in the summer.
