The Saddler

Saddlery was once central to life at The Saddler, Minster, now better known for its real ale, traditional pub activities and friendly atmosphere.

Favourite features of the family-run inn include Sky Sports, a good-sized garden, pool, darts, bat and trap and garden bowls. There are weekly poker nights and live music.

This village centre pub prides itself on being Thanet's first bring your own food pub. All menus, cutlery, plates and napkins provided. You will receive a sit down meal at take away prices.

A bit of history
The pub, built around 1865 and originally The Freehold, incorporated the saddler’s next door when taken over by Tomson and Wotton in 1876. It became The Saddler in the 1970s.

Visitors can admire the magnificent saddle that once belonged to a German officer from The Ulan, an elite cavalry corps, part of a rich assortment of coaching and equine accessories including brasses, crops, horseshoes and wheels.
