Tucked away in the small village of Denton, East Sussex, this 17th century whitewashed Inn is extremely popular with cyclists, thirsty walkers from the South Downs and French tourists fresh from the ferry at Newhaven, a short distance away

A rambling grapevine, wooden shutters and award-winning hanging baskets provide a colourful welcome to visitors who will not be disappointed with the Inn’s cosy open fires and oak beams.

Apart from Denton residents, regular visitors to the pub include local cricket and rugby teams, quizzers, classic motorbike and veteran car enthusiasts, local shoot and horse riders alike.
Dogs are always welcome so long as they bring their well behaved owners on a lead. The pub boasts a large secluded garden with a decked dining area.
