The Crown Inn is steeped in history. Situated in rural Keston, it is only a 10 minute drive from bustling Bromley. It is also near Biggin Hill Airport, a base for Spitfires during World War Two.

In the winter, a double-aspect log fire provides a snug atmosphere, while in summer families can enjoy the huge garden, complete with children’s play area. Inside, there is a separate darts room and regular live music and quizzes. Food is served in a separate dining area, with a specials board changing daily.

The building consists of a newer and an older part, thought to date to the mid 1800s.

It is also the setting for a spooky mystery, following a fatal accident in the local chalk mine in 1896. The body of the unfortunate miner was brought to the pub for an inquest and it is said that his spirit still haunts it.
