The Kings Head, Hythe

The Kings Head

  • Welcome to our website

We look forward to seeing you soon

The Kings Head is situated in the centre of Hythe, with its historic old buildings, independent shops, seafront, canal where boats can be hired, and the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway.

The pretty building dates right back to the 1600s, and still retains its marvellous old inglenook fireplace, now home to a delightfully glowing wood-burning stove. The pub has a traditional, honest, relaxed feel, with a stripped back interior. Outside is a sheltered decked area with heating and lighting, and a further courtyard garden for summer use.

The licensee prides himself on providing excellent cask ales, and always has Shepherd Neame’s seasonal specials when available; in addition a superior choice of wine by the glass is also offered.

Honest-to-goodness traditional pub food is served all day every day, either in the bar or in the separate dining area, part of which can be closed off and used for large groups or private functions.

Here at The Kings Head we pride ourselves on the quality of our products, from the food to the fine ales we serve.

Why not come down and have a drink from our fine wines list, or maybe one of our quality Kentish cask ales which you can get from just £3 a pint. We also have a wide range of premium bottled ales from £3.00.

All our food is homemade and freshly cooked to order for the finest quality of meals for our customers. We also support the local traders by using locally sourced produce.

Our courtyard garden perfect for eating, relaxing or just having a nice cold drink in the sun, just what you need in this wonderful summer weather.

Look forward to seeing you.
