The Globe Inn, dating back to the late 1600s and one of the oldest surviving buildings in the town, is located in picturesque Hythe. The Royal Military Canal is only about 100 yards away from the pub – great for a stroll, and boats can be hired.
The Globe is a traditional pub, cosy and comfortable with an open fire and lots of old photos of Hythe. The pub has a big screen TV showing football and other sports and there are cards, dominoes and board small courtyard garden, with colourful flowers in summer and popular particularly with families.
The Globe serves traditional pub food at lunchtimes (Tuesday-Sunday) and in the evening, with additional specials, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; there are also rooms for overnight stays just over the road in Malt Lodge.
