Sylvia and the team would like to welcome you to the Plough and Harrow. We are a real country pub and guest house serving a wide selection of drinks and traditional dishes in a warm, cosy and welcoming atmosphere set in the relaxing and beautiful Kent countryside.

Located in Tilmanstone, an old Kent mining village, the pub's delightful building is approximately 150 years old and is visited by people near and far.

 
We are regularly visited by ramblers and walkers who find our pub a great place to rest and enjoy a cool drink and a delicious meal during long countryside walks.
 
Our well-stocked bar serves a full range of lagers and real ales and we source our ales from the local Shepherd Neame Brewery – the oldest family brewery in the country, ensuring quality ales at all times. We have a bar billiards table and two bar billiards teams – who are nearly as old as the pub itself!

Whatever your need, be it just a 'pick me up', a salad, a roast, a pasta dish or a traditional country pub meal, we can cater for most people's needs. We pride ourselves on the fact that our produce is sourced from local farmers and keen gardeners alike, making that true English countryside feel come alive through every mouthwatering spoon or forkful. With ample seating and great views of the garden, take your time and enjoy your meal. Our restaurant is fully air conditioned so you will eat in a comfortable environment whatever the weather.

The garden is always the place to be in the summer months. Why be couped up indoors mulling over the week's events when you can let the world pass by while having a good chinwag with friends and strangers alike. Our garden has been thoughtfully landscaped to accommodate all parties from couples to large familes, solo walkers to group get togethers. There is something for everyone.
