Tucked away at the back of the quiet, rural village of Broadoak, the Golden Lion is a charming pub that offers delicious food, a large garden and a warm welcome. It is also an ideal stop for walkers in need of a little rest and relaxation after a venture into nearby Blean Woods.

A selection of fine and freshly prepared home made dishes can be found at the Golden Lion. Wonderful food such as steak and ale pie, pan fried duck breast, poached fillet of plaice, rib-eye steak and pan fried seabass are just a few of the dishes you can expect to find. We also offer a range of vegetarian dishes and our produce comes from local allotments and growers wherever possible.

The pub has a fantastic large garden with an extensive decking area and a large amount of space. We can accommodate a 70 seater marquee which can be hired from the pub at very competitive rates for venues such as weddings, christenings, parties and much more. The pub also caters for children with an exciting children’s play area and two bat and trap pitches which can also be hired for corporate team building events.
