Bonny Cravat, Ashford

Bonny Cravat

No-one is sure where the name came from, the Bonny Cravat may have been a ship, or even a former villager with a dubious reputation.

Whatever the reason for it, it's the only pub in the country with that name, and one that the people of Woodchurch are rightly proud of.

The "Bonny" has two large bars and a games room with pool table and two dart boards. Traditional in style and family friendly, the building is steeped in history and has three real fires always ablaze during the winter months.

In the cellar there is a priesthole, while a tunnel leads directly to the church opposite, believed to date from the time of the Reformation.

The pub has full disabled access and a large car park.
