Bell

Bell

The Bell Inn is a charming pub dating from 1500s, built in the typical Kentish vernacular with peg tiled roof and weatherboarded exterior. Internally, the charming country pub look is achieved with oak beams, stripped back wood and flagstone floors and three separate and cosy bar areas, each with an open fire. The large inglenook fireplace has a picturesque wood burning stove, while the others are roaring open log fires in brick fireplaces. The pub is well recognised for its good traditional food – it is listed in the Good Food Guide and in Sawdays Guide – meals can be taken in any of the bar areas or in the small dining area, which with its four tables is ideal for a group. There is an a la carte menus as well as a pub food menu, and a special two course meal deal on Thursday evenings; The Bell offers a decent selection of wines by the glass as well as excellent beers.

Outside is a large garden which has a useful outside bar, with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside and a large car park.
