Lamb

Lamb

Described as a real locals’ pub, The Lamb offers good food and a friendly atmosphere. Built in the 1700s, it was originally two small cottages which were knocked through and turned into a pub in the 19th century.

Now, it is used by groups such as the local operatic society and has built a reputation as a popular music venue, attracting some well-known artists from around the world. Gigs are held regularly, usually on a Friday night.

There is a roof terrace seating 40 and a covered courtyard, while inside there is a real log fire and a disabled toilet.

Typical pub food such as fish ‘n’ chips and curry is served at lunchtimes and in the early evenings. Music quizzes are held regularly and the pub fields two teams in the area’s weekly quiz league.
