SHEPHERD NEAME MANAGERS OF THE YEAR 2011
Built in 1874, the Crown Inn combines period charm with contemporary style, facilities and entertainment, a few steps from the woods and open spaces of Chislehurst Common.
With speed dating, open mic nights, jazz lunches and a petanque court, there’s always something going on at the Crown Inn, which is also the home of several community groups including parent teacher associations, Rotary and the Friends of Chislehurst Common.
The pub has an excellent function room, with its own bar, and is one of the best places to stay in the area, with seven en-suite rooms.
Both visitors and locals enjoy traditional home-cooked pub food in the attractive restaurant, while the bar offers authentic Kentish cask ales, as well as distinctive international lagers and a good choice of wines by the glass.
The Crown Inn is a five-minute walk from the 8,000-year-old Chislehurst Caves and close to Camden Place, the home of Napoleon III and the Empress Eugenie.
What our customers say:
"Food excellent, and room was great - clean, spacious, tasteful but nothing in comparison to the warm welcome I received from all the staff from the moment I arrived...wow what a hotel! Book, you won't be disappointed!" Rachel
