Artichoke

Artichoke

Look out for the table set over a glass-topped well in the dining area at the historic and cosy Artichoke Inn.

Close to the North Downs and Stour Valley Way with woodland trails on its doorstep, a warm welcome awaits walkers who want to refuel on scrumptious food.

The timber-framed listed pub dates from the 13th Century and oozes charm and character.

It is intimate and friendly, a popular venue for meetings by local groups, including village bellringers. It can also cater for functions.

With two open fires, the Artichoke is a great place for a winter warm up.

Food is freshly prepared with room for up to 24 diners. Live music of all sorts is performed and visitors can enjoy traditional pursuits like darts, bat and trap, dominoes, cards and board games.

There are regular quiz, gourmet and card nights and the pub sponsors bat and trap and darts teams.

There are 15 parking spaces and the pub has disabled access.
